Barcelona's French star Ousmane Dembélé's stance on the Clásico against Real
Madrid on March 2 in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final has
sparked much controversy.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Dembele is continuing his recovery
programme at a steady pace, having suffered a left thigh rectal muscle
injury on January 29 against Girona.
Dembele's recovery time from injury is 5 to 6 weeks, but the Frenchman is
moving very positively towards returning to the pitch.
Dembele has been doing light exercises on the grass since last week, she
said, adding that there is no specific date for the player's return to
games, but it depends on how the Frenchman feels.
The newspaper said that some news has emerged recently that Dembele could
join the Clásico on March 2, one month after the injury.
"This option is never on the table and Dembele cannot return to action just
a month after injury. Barcelona refuse to rush back, especially as it could
result in worse consequences."
